New ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer is Epic

Now that The Avengers has been released around the world, it seems like the other big comic book movie of the year is kicking its advertising into overdrive.

The new Dark Knight Rises trailer is 2 and a half minutes of fresh footage from the movie, it gives a truly epic feel, right down to the music. We get good glimpses of Batman’s jet, Bane and Batman fighting as well as a good amount of Catwoman. My excitement for this movie just went to 11.

Game of Thrones – ‘The Ghost of Harrenhal’ Review

NOTE: Full Spoilers Ahead!

Now we are starting to get the ball rolling, last weeks episode kicked this season up a notch and this episode has done the same, beefing up the other characters who didn’t get done last week like Jon Snow and Daenarys.

Just as I thought would happen, this weeks episode picks up where last weeks leaves off, with Catelyn Stark coming to terms with Renly Baratheon about an alliance with Robb Stark, however this doesn’t last long, for just as they are coming to terms, the shadow demon that was birthed at the end of the last episode completes its mission, killing Renly, it was a well done scene, with good special effects, however I thought they should have stuck to the book and had Ser Loras attack Brienne because he thought she killed Renly, rather than two random guards.

Exclusive: Interview with Anthony Kupinic AKA Pludo + Video Premiere

This article is something that I was really excited to do. Anthony was the lead singer of one of my favourite Australian bands, A Sound Mind, their album Harmonia, which sold over 40000 copies worldwide and paid for the bands Australian and European tours, still gets regular plays in my car pretty much everywhere I go, so to get to sit down and interview him was great.

A Sound Mind had their song “The Power to Dream” used as the Grand Final Song for the AFL in 2011, as well as the 2011 NFL Superbowl. A huge accomplishment and a great moment for the band.

Now Anthony has recently released a solo album under his alter-ego, Pludo, an interesting mix of rock and electronic sound, the album is very good featuring an eclectic sound and a great range of emotions. Entitled, “The Only Thing Certain is the Future” I have set it with my copy of “Harmonia” in my car.

Read the interview and see the World Premiere of his first music video for the song “Time Heals Everything” after the break!

Supernatural: ‘The Girl With The Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo’ Review

This weeks episode was a bit mediocre I thought, saved by a few scenes that brought it up from being not so good.

This episode was touted on the internet because of the guest appearance of Felicia Day, but to be honest I thought she was more annoying than anything else, her only saving grace being the flirt scene with Dean on the other end of the phone, I laughed out loud at that scene and even that was more for Dean’s part than hers.

We returned to the Leviathans this week, with Sam and Dean needing to go into the “Death Star” as Dean put it, to recover a hard drive of Frank’s that the Leviathans were trying to hack. The hard drive had information about the brothers false identities and even where they stashed the Impala, Dean didn’t like that at all. So the brother’s head towards Roman Enterprises to do their mission, bringing in Day’s character, Charlie, who is the one hacking the drive, she agrees to help Sam and Dean after she sees her boss eaten by a Leviathan. This brings us to the mission of the episode, with Sam and Dean sitting this one out and letting Charlie infiltrate the office and get the information they need.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Revealed

Well the long rumored answer to Super Smash Bros has finally been confirmed. Sony has released the first trailer and details for PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale.

The game looks to be very similar to Super Smash Bros, with famous icons from the Playstation brand like Kratos appearing in the roster of fighters. The game is a 2D fighter, thought it appears the environments will have an amount of destructibility to them, as well as the background itself coming into play, as you can see in the trailer with Hades from God of War attacking the fighters as they duke it out.

The game will feature online multiplayer as well as co op and single player modes.

No word on a release for the game as of yet, you can watch the trailer after the break.

‘The Avengers’ Review

I have to say that I haven’t had this much fun at the movies in a long time, this movie was a treat to watch, with good laughs, great action, good acting, the special effects were great, it was the complete package.

Note: Full Spoilers Ahead!

The movie tells the story of Loki, coming to Earth in order to steal the Tessaract, a cube of energy that Loki wants to use in order to open a portal and allow his army to conquer the Earth. As you might expect, this doesn’t go down to well. In steps Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D, bringing together the greatest heroes the Earth has to offer in order to defeat the invading army. Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk and Thor come together, not to easily at first, fighting amongst themselves for a good portion of the movie, this brings with it some great action scenes.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Previewed at CinemaCon

Don’t you wish you were there for this? Christopher Nolan has shown a preview of his final film in his Batman story.

According to reports from the showing, the footage shown is truly epic, from the music to the action, it was all said to be great. Bane’s voice is now crystal clear as well, laying to rest the fears some people had that we wouldn’t be able to understand him in the film.

The footage showed some of the finished product of the leaked videos of Bane’s soldiers fighting with Gotham cops whilst Batman and Bane battle amongst the chaos. Catwoman also gets some screen time in the footage, both as Catwoman and Selina Kyle, speaking with Bruce Wayne, also kissing him!

From every report, the footage is said to be something special, with little to no complaints. The wait for this movie just got a little bit longer!

Rumor: Next ‘Call of Duty’ To Be Set In The Future?

The Call of Duty website has posted a link to a video on YouTube from the FPSRussia channel, that features a futuristic bit of kit, a Quadrotor, with a machine gun attached to it, it is pretty cool. The host of the show says that the piece of weaponry won’t be available for at least 10 years, continuing to say that though it won’t be around for a while, it may be in the next Call of Duty game. Seems like a pretty big hint from Activision to me.

With the reveal of the game set to be in about a weeks time, we don’t have long to wait until we find out the setting of the game, but signs are pointing to a near-future setting.

What do you think? Where will the next Call of Duty be set? If it is in the future is that a good thing? Let us know in the comments below!

Diablo 3 ‘Witch Doctor’ Revealed

Week 4 of the Diablo 3 reveals this week, and now we have the Witch Doctor. Once again the video has a very cool comic style telling the story of the class before jumping into some gameplay action.

“The witch doctors. Sage conjurers, enchanters, and mystical warriors who are driven by a charge to maintain spiritual balance and harmony in the violent world of Sanctuary. They command ancient magics rooted in the primal powers of life and death, and are adept at summoning fearsome, shadowy creatures. A witch doctor is armed with simple talismans, fetishes, rough carvings… and endless ravening throngs of vengeful spirits set to bring destruction at their master’s command.”

I’ve got to say that Blizzard keep making it more and more difficult to choose a class to play at launch, I thought I had decided but now I am not so sure.

Game Of Thrones – Garden of Bones Review

Now that is what I am talking about. This episode of Game of Thrones was great, I like the additions the show runners are adding to the show that weren’t really in the books or merely touched upon in the books.

NOTE: Full episode spoilers inside.

I found myself with a disgusted look on my face pretty much every time Joffrey was on-screen, he just keeps on getting worse and worse and Jack Gleeson is doing a great job of making Joffrey a character that is very easy to hate. He starts off by having Sansa beaten in the middle of the throne room, only to be saved by Tyrion. He then has a pair of prostitutes who Tyrion hires to try to make him soften a bit, beat eachother into a bloody mess with his belt and scepter whilst at Arrow-point. God knows where the creators will go next with Joffrey, I’m not sure he can get much worse.
